Resurrection Weekend: The In-Between

The days between the Crucifixion and the Resurrection are not often celebrated. Yet they are the ones most similar to the days we wrestle with.

The in-between season. The time between promise and fulfillment. The moments when we feel forgotten, unseen, or left behind. The seasons where we question and wonder if we heard God wrong.

This is the liminal space. In this uncertain time, we learn to remind ourselves of the Promises of God. We are given the opportunity to decide if we believe what we profess.

While we wrestle, God is silent. We wonder why He hasn't answered. Why life looks so different than what He said. Why "it" hasn't happened.

Yet God knows it is in this time where our faith has the chance to grow. Where we mature from needing constant signs to holding His Word as truth in our hearts. Truth that is unshaken by circumstance.

We learn to trust His Heart above the movement of His Hand.

What are you waiting on God to answer? What seems different than His Promise? What has made you question His direction?

Take your concerns to His feet. Talk with Him and lay them there. Don't hold back. God invites us to come boldly to His Throne of Grace where He will give us hope in the times when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16)

Walk away trusting that however God decides to answer will be more than you could have imagined. It will free parts of you that you didn't realize were bound.

That's the beauty of the in-between. We learn to cherish God's goodness no matter what surrounds, is around, or tries to ground us.

We learn how to trust beyond all odds. We learn that our faith is strong enough to withstand because it's in a God that meets every need. He is I AM THAT I AM.

May you remember in the seasons that challenge your faith, that God is with you and He will not fail.

Sunday is coming.

Hold on!

With Joy In Purpose,
