A Trip Down Memory Lane ...
For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to help the people around me, whether it was putting together the family bookcase, inviting the new kid at school over for lunch, or volunteering at church. As I got older my friends, family, students, coworkers, and others would ask for my help on different topics - like handling life challenges, creating businesses, changing course, and going after your dreams in spite of the fear you might feel. I've definitely had my share of challenges, but I'm most proud of how I'm kept going in spite of them and how those lessons have allowed me to help others.
A couple of years ago I was helping a former teammate evaluate a possible business opportunity and at the end of our process she said, "Thank you so much! People need this service. You just saved me at least six months of time and effort!" Little did she know I was working on creating a business that would do just that. Her statement was one of many confirmations God sent as I worked on bringing that desire to life. In 2020, Dr. Lorin R. Carter, LLC was born to allow me to officially offer my gifts to the world.
My "Why"
I believe that everyone is blessed with unique gifts and talents to serve. One of mine is to help you eliminate overwhelm, find clarity, and create actionable strategies for success that will properly position you to serve with excellence, integrity, and passion personally and professionally.
At Dr. Lorin R. Carter, LLC my goal is to equip you with tools that empower you to thrive. I believe strongly that God has allowed me to gain experience and training in technical, legal, higher education, non-profit, private, government, policy, planning, creative, and ministry arenas to position me to offer holistic services to my clients.
My How: Passion + Action
While encouragement is a wonderful tool to inspire and motivate you on your journey (believe me I supply it in spades to my clients), it must also be matched with the proper tools, strategies, and accountability to empower you to implement a plan for success that achieves true progress. I work with you to develop a plan that leverages your skills in the service of others, properly compensates you for the value you provide, is mindful of your responsibilities and priorities, and frees you to live with joy in purpose. I also share my journey with you through my blog including a mix of life lessons, business tips, great food, adventure, wellness, and selfceare - all parts of what helps me create a life I love and love the life I live.
This process is different for everyone, which is why my solutions are personalized to each client's individual needs. I am here as a guide and resource to support you as you do the necessary work to step fully into all God has called you to do. This process will stretch you, but I'll be there with you every step of the way.
